Once an advertising and marketing executive in New York City, Megan now works as a chef and renegade nutrition educator, cutting through the clutter of confusing nutrition information and getting people reconnected to real food. Though she gained invaluable experience toiling for corporations and clients, such as Quaker Oats, Procter & Gamble and TIME Magazine, she knew in her gut she had something to gain outside the corporate structure, so (with TIME’s blessing and a 10” chef’s knife gifted to her by the head of marketing) she ran away to sea to cook on sailboats and for world class sail racing teams.
When on land, Megan completed Masters work in documentary photo studies at the Salt Institute, and earned a certifcation in Holistic Nutrition Education from Bauman College, All the while, building business as a photographer, private chef, and nutrition educator.
Her current work, facilitating nutrition, cooking and food systems educational experiences for inner city youth in San Francisco and South Central LA, made her curious to know, what tools she might acquire to catalyze personal transformation in these vibrant and squirrly young people. To this end, she chose to complete coaches training at CTI, where she gained understanding of a coaching model that can help anyone move forward his or her life, in meaningful, lasting ways.
As with most professional decisions she’s made in life, Megan knew instantly upon meeting Patrick Ryan, and hearing about his important work in the world, that she should be a part of it. She’s thrilled to be working with a team of people who have the desire and ability to move people and organizations forward in powerful and sustainable ways.
Oh yes, and she holds a BA in Liberal Arts with a double major and honors in Comparative Religious Studies and Asian studies from Connecticut College. And she rides a Ducati, Monster 620 with Termi pipes, to unwind.
