Executive coach, leadership trainer, author, and documentary filmmaker, Patrick Ryan, works through his organizations: Patrick Ryan Coaching and Awakened Wisdom Experiences™ Inc., and through the Coaches Training Institute.
Patrick brings to the coaching arena, the learning from more than twenty-five years’ experience as CEO, owner, and general manager of several successful businesses. All of which, have honed Patrick’s own skills, and his solid understanding of the challenges leaders face, both in their careers and personal lives. Called both passionate and fierce, Patrick quickly gets to the core of clients’ most compelling issues.
Patrick also is a former Buddhist monk, having lived in Burma (now Myanmar), where he practiced the path of awakened living, according to Buddhist philosophy. Through his rich life experiences, Patrick continually develops and expands his understanding of human nature. In his coaching, Patrick powerfully integrates these experiences with ancient teachings and modern applications, to help deepen his clients’ understandings of their own experiences. Patrick’s techniques call upon his intuition, wisdom, and a wealth of specialized training in systems coaching, relationship coaching, and study of the Enneagram.
Patrick works with executives and entrepreneurs on a daily basis, focusing on questions of personal effectiveness and leadership. Working collaboratively with a client, Patrick first helps the client articulate and clarify his or her visions and goals, then uncovers or awakens the client’s inherent wisdom and natural skills required to achieve those goals. The aim is to increase clients’ effectiveness in putting their skills to work, to create the greatest outcomes they desire. The process is highly effective, and customized according to each client’s needs.
Patrick’s training workshops are also highly transformative, as well as lively, engaging, and interactive. Attendees learn, through the application of coach-like and leadership practices, how to be more effective in their personal lives and in their careers.
